COVID-20

As terrible as this sounds, the rising of the Coronavirus (COVID- 19) has sparked some creativity for a story. This was a short piece that I wrote this morning and I may continue with it.  The masks didn’t protect anyone. No layers of hand sanitizer could prolong the inevitable. The numbers infected had gone from hundreds to millions in under a week. The media, panicked and taking advantage of public fear, gives no clear direction of the virus and its targets. Vaccines only made the disease fatal, only after showing promising recovery, dropping populations in hundreds. The streets were those of a ghost town, stores dark and empty. Buses, cars, trains are still. Every billboard, every sign displayed only one word. “Quarantine!”.
